Product Description

This five-part training series will help students understand the principles and applications of centrifugal pumps. The series is designed to familiarize students with centrifugal pump construction, uses, system properties, and monitoring and troubleshooting techniques.

The Centrifugal Pumps series is designed for maintenance technicians, operators, or anyone requiring an understanding of mechanical maintenance. It does not assume any previous knowledge of centrifugal pumps. All the terms used are defined or explained throughout the courses, so students are not required to have a technical vocabulary to understand the content.

DVDs included:

(Select a product for more information or to preview online.)

Centrifugal Pumps: Design & FunctionDistinguishes between centrifugal and positive displacement pumps and describes the beneficial features and purposes of each.

Centrifugal Pumps: System Characteristics & SelectionPresents students with the terminology used in understanding centrifugal pump performance in a system, including terms associated with head, pressure, suction, discharge, and Net Positive Suction Head.

Centrifugal Pumps: Operation & MaintenanceIdentifies normal and abnormal start-up and operating conditions of centrifugal pumps as well as pump monitoring and shutdown procedures.

Centrifugal Pumps: Troubleshooting & DisassemblyShows students how to identify symptoms of failure, which may indicate problems with various pump components.

Centrifugal Pumps: Reassembly & InstallationFocuses on the reassembly, installation, and start-up of centrifugal pumps.

Our DVDs are portable and easy-to-use. Training content is "chapterized," or organized by learning objectives to:
