Computer Numerical Control 15-Part Series

Product Description

This 15-part training series will help students master the fundamentals of computer numerical control for milling operations. The series covers program preparation, multi-axis milling, circular milling, drilling, subroutines, loops, special cycles, translation, polar coordinates, rotation, scaling, and cutter radius compensation.

The Computer Numerical Control series is designed for mill and drill operators who have knowledge and experience with machining skills. It does not assume any previous knowledge of CNC programming. All the terms used in the courses are defined and explained, so students are not required to have a machining vocabulary to understand the content.

CNC: TranslationTeaches students how to shift programmed tool movements to a new coordinate that is parallel to the original coordinate.

CNC: Polar Coordinate ProgrammingIntroduces the polar coordinate system and demonstrates how it can be used to describe locations in relation to the center of a circle.

CNC: ScalingIntroduces a programming method to increase or decrease the scale of an existing program by adding a scaling statement.

CNC: Multi–Quadrant Interpolation & RotationTeaches students how to program and terminate multi-quadrant interpolation, how to rotate an existing program, and how to terminate a rotation.

CNC: Cutter Radius CompensationTeaches students to use programs which were written for a specific cutter then automatically compensate for new radii of different cutters.
