VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Oct. 26, 2011 – DuPont Sustainable Solutions has released a new training program that helps raise safety awareness and promotes employee involvement in achieving a safer and healthier workplace. Employee Involvement: The Key To Safety demonstrates the importance of employee participation in identifying hazards and preventing incidents.
"As recent studies show, safety improves when workers have a say in safety protocols and are taken seriously," said David Mazary, SHE content strategist. "This new training program explains how employees can take the initiative in strengthening the safety culture in their organizations."
Topics covered in the program include proper housekeeping, including equipment care and maintenance; safety inspections and identification of hazards; how to perform an incident investigation; maximizing the benefits of safety committees; and how employees can reach out to peers and supervisors to develop a culture where all employees watch out for each other.
Employee Involvement: The Key To Safety is relevant across all industries and can be used to complement any OSHA Process Safety Management or Voluntary Protection Program. The program is currently offered on DVD in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. It will be accessible soon as an interactive online course as well.
A free seven-day preview of Employee Involvement: The Key To Safety is available by calling 800-861-7668 or emailing email@example.com. A free online preview is available at www.training.dupont.com.
