DuPont Sustainable Solutions Wins Four CINDY Awards

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., April 23, 2014 -- Three training programs and one short film by DuPont Sustainable Solutions received CINDY awards in the recent fall 2013 International CINDY Competition.

A Gold Award was given to Electrical Case History, a program that teaches valuable safety procedures from the tragic case of a worker who died of electrocution. Another gold winner was DuPont Safety Glass Performance, a short film that illustrates the applications and various safety- and design-related advantages of SentryGlas® laminates.

"It is an honor to receive these Awards from CINDY," said Samuel Ponzo, global business leader, Learning & Development, DuPont Sustainable Solutions. "I thank and congratulate the teams who worked on these programs, from conceptualization to production."

Diversity: Respect at Work, which delivers key diversity lessons by music- and performance-related analogies, garnered a Silver Award, as did Workplace Violence: Looking Out for Each Other, which alerts employees to the less newsworthy yet equally damaging forms of workplace violence.

"The vehicles to deliver learning and development content have changed so much in the last few years," said James R. Weigand, president of DuPont Sustainable Solutions. "Finding new, compelling ways to deliver high-quality content has been a challenge, and it's rewarding to receive this kind of recognition. It lets us know that our Learning and Development team is on the right track."
